Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Plae ("the app"), developed by Yash Baheti. By using Plae, you agree to these terms.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Plae on devices you own or control, subject to the Mac App Store's terms.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Using the app in compliance with applicable laws
- The content you translate using the app
- Ensuring your Mac meets the minimum system requirements (macOS 26.2 or later)
Translation Accuracy
Plae uses Apple's on-device translation frameworks and a local AI model to translate text. Translations are generated by machine learning models and may not always be perfectly accurate. Do not rely on Plae for translations where errors could cause harm, such as legal, medical, or safety-critical contexts.
Intellectual Property
Plae and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Yash Baheti and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Apple, Apple Translation, Apple Intelligence, and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Plae is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Plae is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yash Baheti shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the app
- Any inaccuracies in translations produced by the app
- Any interruption or cessation of the app's functionality
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the app
Purchases and Refunds
Plae is a one-time purchase of $4.99 on the Mac App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's App Store terms and refund policies. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds. Contact Apple for refund requests.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. We will post the new terms on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
